About sweet basil 'genovese'

Genovese basil is a variety of sweet basil that is native to Italy. Its vigorous, large leaves have a sweet, slightly spicy flavour. Genovese basil grows bright green, slightly crinkled leaves that can grow up to 8cm long. They are excellent for pesto, a caprise salad in the sun and other dishes that call for a big bunch of fresh basil leaves. In fact, Genovese basil uses are much the same as with any other sweet basil plant.
